We often eat fruit salads or drink fruit juices and smoothies because we know that they have a lot of healthy compounds that prevent and cure diseases. But does every fruit have the same healing power as the other? Is eating a mango same as eating a kiwi? No. Not every fruit has the same therapeutic quality as the other. In fact some fruits are so potent that they can be termed as super fruit. They are jam-packed with fibre, vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals. Consuming them makes you body healthier, younger, improves your metabolism and maintains your body in perfect condition. So let us take a look at some of these super-powered fruits.

1. Apples
Probably the first thing that you must have remembered is the adage- An apple a day keeps the doctor! Well, it is more than true. Iron helps make red blood cells in the body (due to the increased formation of haemoglobin from iron). Copper in apricot helps release this iron into the body. Apricots can be consumed on a daily basis to improve digestion and prevent constipation. It contains pectin and cellulose which act as laxatives. Eat 6-8 apricots daily if you are constipated.
