Kiss Goodbye to Suntan the Natural Way!

Have you ever got disappointed when you look at your older pictures and wonder why you are not that fair now? Have you ever believed that sunlight has masked your outer skin and this outer skin is going to be there on your body forever? I know you do a lot to avoid that tan, put on a lot of sunscreen lotions, when it also don’t works then you switch to higher SPF’s ones. You always try to keep yourself covered in the Sun, try to avoid sunlight as much as you can. But oh God! Still than awful tan develop. It is no doubt a dark spot on our natural beauty.

But, chill guys! Your original skin colour is still there, beneath that tan, and you can bring it back to surface once again by reducing or lightening tan to a great extent. No, don’t worry; you don’t need to empty your pocket on a beauty salon or in buying those costly chemical products, because it is so easy to remove tan the herbal way!

Once you decide to finally do away with tan and starts searching for some ways then you are flooded with more than hundred ways. Some will work and some will not. However, a few most effective of all can be found here. And all you need is few products from your kitchen. But before you start, keep this in mind that you may not be able to completely revert back any deep damage but your original skin colour can be restored nearly back.

Remedy Number 1: Gram powder (besan) + Milk + turmeric powder + lemon juice

Yes, you guessed right! This is that wonder mask about which all Grannies and skin doctors boast about. Never tried it? Then try now and witness the magic.

Procedure: mix 2 tablespoons of gram powder + ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder + ½ tablespoon of lemon juice + few drops of milk and form a thick paste. Apply it all over your face and neck and leave it for 15-20 minutes to dry. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Turmeric is one of the best natural skin-care products. It is widely used in a number of skin care remedies and home-made ‘ubtans’. It not only removes the tan but also effectively brings fairness in skin.

People with oily skin can substitute milk with rose water for better results.

Remedy number 2: Gram powder + yoghurt + few drops of lemon

Procedure: mix 3 tablespoons of Gram powder + few drops of lemon + 2 tablespoons of yoghurt. If the paste is too thick to apply then add ½-1 tablespoon of yoghurt more. Apply this all over your face and neck and wait till it dry. Rinse with cool water.

Lemon extract is a wonderful tan-fighting agent because of the citric acid. It even keep other skin-problems like pimples away.

This method is very effective in reducing the tan. Apply this once or twice a week.

Remedy number 3: Curd + turmeric

Procedure: Take a bowl of curd + pinch of turmeric. Apply this mixture on your face, neck, arms and legs and leave for 20-25 minutes. Wash it off with cool water.

Apply this once in every 2-3 days till you get the original skin tone back. For better results and more cooling effect, use chilled curd.

Remedy number 4: Coconut water

Coconut water is said to be the best liquid for your skin. It keeps skin hydrated and helps skin-cells to renew themselves. It works via both ways; internally and externally. Even if you will drink a glass of coconut water twice a week, the result will be soon visible on your skin. Using it externally removes tan, lightens skin tone, brings glow in skin and makes skin soft and supple.

Procedure: Apply cool coconut water on your face, neck, arms, legs, hands and feet using cotton. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it off with cool water. Apply it once a week.

Even after saying your tan bye-bye, you can continue using this method to further lighten skin tone and to make it glow.

Remedy number 5: Lemon juice

Lemon juice can solely remove tan effectively as well.

Procedure: Take ½ a bucket of cool water + juice of 3-4 lemons. Soak your feet in this solution for 15 minutes every week. Once you get the desired result, try this with your hands as well.You can also apply this solution on your arms using a cotton ball.

Lemons can be rubbed directly on tough areas like knees and elbows. After rubbing, let the extract do it is work for 15-20 minutes before you wash it off.

Remedy number 6: Mixture of lemon juice, Rose water and cucumber juice.

Procedure: mix lemon juice, Rose water and cucumber juice in equal proportions (half a cup each). Using a cotton ball apply this solution all over the affected area. Leave it undisturbed for 20-25 minutes to do its work. Then wash it off with cool water. Apply it weekly or biweekly depending upon the intensity of the tan developed. For better results, cool the mixture prepared in a refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before use.

Rose water acts as a natural cooling agent and works wonder. It can even heal sunburns as well.

All these remedies are easy-to-use and can be used anytime. None of the ingredients mentioned above is hard to get. So get working now! Even only 1-2 hours per week can remove your tan in few weeks!
