  • Jessica Simpson lost 100 pounds using The Body Reset Diet.
  • Her trainer revealed that she also abstained from alcohol while following the plan.
  • Jessica was also able to eat two snacks per day on the diet.

Jessica Simpson is looking better than ever lately. The mom of three (to Maxwell, 7, and Ace, 6, and baby Birdie Mae), gave birth last March, and recently revealed that she lost over 100 pounds.

The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat, and Shed Pounds in Just 15 Days

Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, recently spoke with Us Weekly to share more details about how exactly she did it. Apparently, the focus was mainly on diet.

“It’s not about the workouts,” he said. “You don’t lose weight doing biceps curls and lunges. You lose weight by changing your diet, hitting your step goal, working on your sleep … those were the things she did so well.”

He also shared that Jessica follows the principles of his 2013 book, The Body Reset Diet. She has three meals and two snacks a day with protein, fiber, and healthy fat, and the main meals typically consist of foods high in protein (eggs, chicken, and fish) with some veggies and fruit. For the two snack times, she opts for high-fiber options like a handful of almonds or green beans topped with Parmesan cheese.

Jessica also completely cut out alcohol: “I am pretty sure she would not have been as incredibly successful in this physique transformation if she was drinking,” Pasternak said.

When it comes to her workouts, Jessica is a huge fan of walking, and she’s had a goal of 12,000 steps a day. She counted her steps using a Fitbit.

“I’m a big fan of making sure people have a Fitbit because it’s like a gym on your wrist anywhere you go,” Pasternak said.
