10 vegetables with awful taste but many benefits!


1) Asparagus

Asparagus is a storehouse of nutrients. It is rich in Vitamins A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin K. It also helps in breaking down the carcinogens, also known as cancer cells. Thus, helps in preventing lung, throat and breast cancer. High levels of the amino acid asparagines are present in asparagus. It increases urination which helps the body to get rid of excess salts and other toxins. Not only this, asparagus is rich in antioxidants which play an important role to fight against free radicals. Free radicals are the unstable molecules which result in heart and liver disease.



2) Broccoli

Broccoli is undeniably the king of vegetable with worst taste. Even Ed, Edd and Eddy hate it! What most people don`t know is that broccoli has many health and medicinal benefits. It is a rich fiber source and helps to lower down the cholesterol. Eating broccoli can help prevent osteoarthritis. Most people suffer from this disease in old age. Weight conscious people should include lots of sprouts in their diet as it helps in controlling weight. Presence of Vitamin A and Vitamin E helps in fighting off harmful radical.


6) Bitter Gourd

This vegetable justifies its name! It really is bitter. But then, all the medicines are. Bitter gourd is considered an excellent medicine for diabetic patients. Reports suggest that bitter gourd helps in reducing the blood sugar levels. It has low calories which is a good thing for people who want to lose weight. Bitter gourd improves the digestion process and avoids constipation. People should be careful about the quantity of bitter gourd. Excess intake might result in adverse effects.


7) Bottle Gourd

Fascinating thing about the bottle gourd is that it has 92% of water. Everyone is aware of the benefits of water.  It keeps the body hydrated, eases the digestion process, makes the skin smooth and maintains the body heat temperature. Diabetic patients can include it in their diet as it contains minimal quantities of sugar.
